Watch the incumbent commissioner brag about setting up 3 mosque polling locations that he takes credit for helping his party win close races.
Warning: The Marxist-Jihadist movement is alive and dangerous in Dallas County.
Watch the incumbent commissioner brag about setting up mosque polling locations where collectively and individually the Muslim vote helped his party win close races.
Warning: The Marxist-Jihadist movement is alive and dangerous in Dallas County.
A church, mosque, synagogue, or any other private facility can lawfully serve as a polling place. The problem is not the building’s faith. The problem is the official’s conduct.
The concern arises when:
That is what happened here. The incumbent used his office and taxpayer-funded communications to help establish mosque polling locations tied to those networks, then campaigned on the partisan result.
That is not religious liberty. That is using the ballot box as a political weapon.
Texas law already prefers public buildings for polling places when they are available. See the full statutory argument on the Election Integrity Failures page.
At his August 21, 2025 re-election kickoff, the incumbent highlighted his role in opening permanent polling locations at three mosques in Dallas County. He took credit for the fact that almost all new voters at those mosques voted for his party, helping secure victory for Judge Tina Clinton.

The incumbent publicly took credit for establishing permanent polling locations at specific mosques that have documented ties to CAIR (designated as a terrorist organization by the State of Texas) and other groups within the Marxist-Jihadist (Red-Green) Alliance. He claimed these locations helped his party win close races.
These were not ordinary houses of worship simply offering space. They were facilities linked to networks Texas authorities have identified as problematic. The incumbent used his official position to turn them into permanent election sites for partisan advantage.

In May 2025, the Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT) hosted an event titled “From Marxism to Islam: The Revolutionary Road of Allah,” organized by ICNA Dallas. The event promoted the transition from Marxist ideology to Islam and featured speakers with ties to radical groups, including the Young Lords Party and the Black Panther Party.
The incumbent had previously taken credit for turning this same mosque into a permanent polling location.

A more detailed RAIR Foundation report published in June 2025 includes video from the May 2 event at the Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT).
The speakers, including former Black Liberation Army / Black Panther member Imam Jihad Abdulmumit, openly framed Islam as the superior revolutionary force that can succeed where Marxism failed.
Key points from the event include:
• Islam is presented as a “standing army” larger and more unified than any Marxist movement.
• Muslims living in America are told they may only remain if their intention is to “establish the Deen” (implement Islamic law).
• The speaker states that Islam and Western society cannot coexist — comparing them to two hurricanes that cannot blow at the same time.
• The event was promoted by ICNA Dallas and presented as a strategic transition from Marxist ideology to Islamic revolution.
The incumbent previously took credit for establishing this same mosque as a permanent polling location.

The incumbent has used his official position to promote relationships with institutions tied to CAIR, an organization designated as a terrorist organization by the State of Texas in November 2025. These relationships were promoted through taxpayer-funded county communications.

The incumbent’s official county newsletter — paid for by District 2 taxpayers — linked to Fight Back! News, the official newspaper of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO).
By featuring and linking to this content in an official Dallas County Commissioner newsletter, the incumbent used public resources to amplify the messaging of a revolutionary Marxist-Leninist group that openly calls for the end of capitalism and the creation of a new Communist Party in the United States.
This is not neutral constituent information. It is the use of taxpayer-funded platforms to promote a radical political organization.

According to its own website, the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) is “a national organization of revolutionaries fighting for socialism in the United States.”
FRSO states that it is “organizing the united front against monopoly capitalism” and that its “general strategy” is revolution in the U.S.
It openly declares that it is “recruiting and building towards the creation of a new Communist Party based on Marxism-Leninism.”
This is not a mainstream progressive group. It is a revolutionary Marxist-Leninist organization that seeks to replace the American system with socialism through class struggle and revolution.
By directing taxpayer-funded communications toward this network, the incumbent is aligning himself with the same far-left faction of the Democratic Party represented nationally by figures such as Zohran Mamdani, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and others who promote radical positions increasingly rejected by common-sense Democrats and independents in District 2.
These groups do not share the values, morals, or constitutional principles of the people of District 2.
This use of official county communications raises serious questions of judgment and ethics.

District 2 can’t afford commissioners who put the interests of those who “fight back” against America ahead of the interests of the people they are elected to serve.

The incumbent has aligned himself with the far-left wing of the Democratic Party — the same faction represented nationally by figures such as Zohran Mamdani, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. These politicians and their allies promote radical positions that are increasingly rejected even by many Democrats, especially common-sense Democrats and independents in District 2.
His public associations with local progressive activists, as shown in his own official newsletter, reflect comfort with this wing of the party. Notably, one of the individuals featured in the newsletter, former State Representative Terri Hodge, had already pleaded guilty to fraud and served time in federal prison — raising further questions about the incumbent’s judgment in choosing his political associates.
His actions advance the very networks that growing numbers of Democrats now view as damaging to their party and to the country.

The incumbent swore an oath to faithfully execute his duties and defend the Constitution and laws of Texas. Instead, he has used his official authority to establish permanent polling locations at mosques tied to networks designated as terrorist organizations by Texas leaders — locations he has publicly taken credit for because they helped his party win close races.
By leveraging his position to grant these institutions official polling status while advancing the Marxist-Jihadist movement, the incumbent has placed his own political interests above his duty to the public.

These actions were possible because of the 5–0 One-Party structure on the Commissioners Court. With no real opposition or independent oversight, the incumbent was able to use his official position and taxpayer-funded communications to advance networks tied to organizations designated as terrorist groups — including establishing polling locations at mosques connected to CAIR and linking to Marxist sources — without being held accountable.
